Floor Plan API FAQ

CAD exports, scans, listing plans, app scans and phone photos of hand drawings. inputType is only a hint and the model reads the drawing itself, so leave it out unless a value clearly fits. Crop title blocks and other floors out of the image for the best result.

The model is told to keep walls where they are drawn, to neither merge nor split rooms, and to place doors, windows and stairs only where the plan shows them. Slight angles can come back straight and no areas or dimensions are added, so check each render against the plan: it is a visual, not a measured drawing.

outputStyle cutaway_isometric (the default) gives an angled dollhouse cutaway, and stylised_topdown renders almost straight from above. furnitureMode chooses furnished or empty, interiorStyle picks modern, scandinavian, minimalist, industrial, traditional or luxury, and fp3dLabels set to room_names writes the room names onto the floors.

Yes. Set tier to custom and describe the look in customPrompt, up to 500 characters. Your text sets materials, colors, furniture and lighting; the model is told that it never changes the layout, walls or openings.

Yes, with three other documented tools: sketch-to-floor-plan redraws a sketch, scan or photo of a plan as a clean 2D plan, floor-plan-colorize colors in a black-and-white plan in a listing palette, and floor-plan-visualize renders a furnished top-down marketing image. Each costs one image per render, and the docs list their options at developers.roomagen.com/docs/tools.

Each render counts as one image against prepaid packs, two at 4K: 500 at $0.25, 2,500 at $0.22, and 10,000 at $0.20 per image. Your first API key comes with 50 free images, one time, which carry a Roomagen watermark until you buy a pack.
